Alterno Ristorante E American Bar Bari

Service was good and friendly. Waitress speaks very good English. We have our order quickly and it was very good. On the contrary, what I read, but it was early and not yet busy.

Fried chicken is like in Hungary. the service is friendly and attentive.

I have tried the pasta before, also in this restaurant, however this time for me it was a little bit too spicy and too burned. I don’t understand why they charge you 1 euro more when you choose the cheese for the pasta, although this is the way it should be served. In conclusion, I recommend this dish, because it’s typical for the region and it is something really unusual. They serve bread and taralli on every table.

We visited Alterno for our final night in Bari and it wasn’t a mistake !! The food was absolutely delicious we had two pastas and the portions were amazing !! The staff are so fun and friendly and gesti the waiter took the time to chat with us throughout the busy night- would highly recommend this place :

Good food! We had the charcuterie board and the boscaiola pizza. Shared for 2 people and was plenty for us! Our server, suggested a good white wine and we really enjoyed our evening here. Easy walk from the historic center of Bari!
