Dolce E Salato - BARI

When a restaurant is not all that busy on a Saturday night in Bari, then probably something is wrong. Still, you gotta eat so you put that aside and hope for the best. Being early evening I ordered a cocktail first and asked for the food to arrive later. However the pasta and wine arrived half way through sipping the cocktail. First fail. It gave the impression of not being freshly cooked, with all of it overcooked, stodgy in the middle and dried out bits around the edges welded together and/or stuck firmly to the plate. I told the waiter how awful it was, which was relayed to the kitchen, where great consternation ensued. A small amount was deducted from the bill by substituting a cheaper item on it (go figure) but no apology. On paying there was no hint in the air from either side that a tip might be involved. A quick ciao and I was gone.

Perfect for a quality dinner . The welcome is warm and there is a large variety of food . Atmosphere is nice

The food was very delicious. The portions were large. We were disappointed that there was no menu in English and the waitress didn't speak English.

Delicious local. inside a bar counter and a meat shop. outside a restaurant not bad. from the first dishes of the local tradition to the cutlets of meat and cheeses more various. despite the small initial wait, the goto of the place and the staff were able to convince to insert 5 stars
