Feedback gevenWe tried to book a table on this place to eat , I can’t called as “Restaurant “ because we literally struggle to find an open door or someone to arrange a booking( it looks like a fortress). Anyway finally somebody answered at the phone and we got the booking . We got there in time and one of the staff was intrigued like we bother him with our presence and he told us that the restaurant is closed and we told him that was the booking time as we’ve been told. As a reply he was literally shouting from the window to come later in half an hour, of course we refused to be treated like that and we never returned to the restaurant. I’m not complaining about food because we didn’t have the chance to have any , I’m complaining about the way we were treated. We felt as we were treated like beggars for food not like customers. If you are tourist stay away from this place is absolutely disgraceful !!!
We came here after being recommended by friends. We went to the roof terrace could be awkward for elderly or disabled as lots of steps , There is no menu as such, but the owner ran through what was available. they specialize in meats, so we had the lamb, which is cooked over a fire and sliced beef, it also came with vegetables could provide more . The meat was nice, but the lamb was mostly bones, i did notice that some locals got the better pieces of the lamb at another table. All in all the price was very reasonable and the food tasty.
The restaurant is located in the center of the small town Bari Sardo where tourism so far had very little impact. A large sign hints to the place, leave the car outside this narrow alley..... A bar on the ground floor, some inside tables on the first one, a large open air terrasse on the third and a spectacular two table terrasse on the fourth make the restaurant. The specialty is meat from the open fire, which is prepared on the open terrasse. Meat and fish from the grill and just marvellous !! everything prepared in fron of your eyes try the antipasto mare and you have had a full varied meal even before you have started eating. Very friendly and personal service. Don't scared away by some inadequate reviews which have criticized the bistecca Fiorentina: The menu says x Euros per Etto which is 100 grams as such a steak is massive and can be over 1 kilogram, you should share and not be surprised about the price and if it comes still blue in the center, it is perfect nobody kills such a privileged peace of meat by overcookking ......
