Leon Brent Cross - Barnet

I was really looking forward to having a chicken wrap and fries as I haven 't had one in years, and I used to really enjoy them. The fries were ok, but there is no more chicken wrap on the menu, and the fish finger wrap was disgusting. My daughter had the chargrilled chicken burger the first of which was pink inside, so she took it back. The second one was marginally better once all the pink bits were removed. Salmonella in waiting! The decor is garish and vulgar, and the use of screens to place orders is not only unhygienic (if the aim was to stop Covid contamination it fails miserably, but I suspect it is simply to reduce staff numbers) but epitomises the worst excesses of any fast food joint. If the new owners who were regular consumers of Leons believe that this is true to the original goal of the company, they are sadly mistaken. Shame on the original founders for selling out for the dirty lucre!!

The food at this restaurant is always amazing, but unfortunately the service was rude during my visit. This is the main reason why I am giving less than 5 stars in my review. When I entered, I was ignored, my greeting was ignored, and my order was handed to me without any words or smiles. What was surprising was that this lack of friendliness came from a supervisor or manager, not a regular team member. As someone who works in hospitality, it pains me to write this review because I understand how tiring long days can be on your feet and how difficult customers can be, especially after a busy shift. It was only just past 9am when I visited, so I was likely one of their first or second customers of the day. Unfortunately, I have noticed that this lack of friendly service seems to be common at Brent Cross shopping center in general, as I experienced similar unfriendly service at a few other shops there as well.

This restaurant has really declined. It used to be a pleasant place to dine, but now it feels like a fast-food joint with soggy fries and very limited options for those who are gluten-free. The overall food selection is lacking and the atmosphere is unpleasant. I will not be returning.

I tried the halloumi wrap at this restaurant and found it to be good, but not particularly exciting. It was neither exceptional nor bad. I felt that they could have been more generous with the portion of fries. I would also prefer ordering at the counter instead of using their screen ordering system, which was not very smooth.

There are quiet place to sit down relax in the morning for your breakfast and coffee. more space to seat at the back
