Aleafia Wellness Centre - Barnstaple

This restaurant is a wonderful experience from start to finish - the people, the service, the atmosphere, and the food. I highly recommend it!

This is an authentic vegan café. It is a safe place to eat without concerns about cross-contamination. The café is run by an ethical vegan owner who is very hospitable, along with her dog.

The waffles are delicious and they offer half-sized portions for children.

I’ve eaten here twice this week. Not only does this show how great this place is but also the fact that there isn’t really anywhere else like this around. There’s a really chilled out vibe here, helped by the presence of Lady, the resident dog, who is well behaved adorable! The menu is small but this only means that what they do, they do well. I’ve had the banana waffles and the sweet potato Buddha bowl, while my partner had the nachos. The chai latte and açai bowl are also delicious! The customer service is amazing and everyone is really friendly. It’s also dog friendly! You cannot go wrong here! Pretty sure I’ll be back again before my holiday is over!

Honestly, I have been visiting vegan eateries all over Europe for several years and this place stands out as one of the very best. Tucked away in the corner of Barnstaple it is a total treasure trove of rainbow coloured plant-based eats. Check out the photos I posted, I couldn’t have even happier with what we had to eat! Make it a regular spot or seek it out if you’re visiting on holiday. Yum!
