The Braunton Inn - Barnstaple

Service is much much better than in years gone by and both the quality of our dinner and the service we received was really good.

The restaurant is set in an old manor house, which is very grand from the exterior. The interior is lovingly rustic and the ambience very relaxed. Service was brilliant and the food was delicious. The best thing was that you never felt rushed to finish courses and could just relax. The ale was top notch as well.

Very good food, better than expected. Lovely staff, very attentive. Clean. Good atmosphere. I had fishcakes which were lovely, but could do with an extra poached egg. Burgers amazing!

Food choice low, had roast ,vegetables cold and under cooked, service slow ,Food did not match description cauliflower cheese cold and lacking in cheese
