Lucy Lu's - Barnwell

Today is February 1 my husband’s birthday. Being new to the area I forgot the bakery in town is closed Saturday and Monday Lucy Lu’s answered their phone this afternoon because they were there making desserts they saved the day for me With a lovely lemon parfait and a few hot chocolate bombs for the next couple of cold mornings. I am so impressed such wonderful hometown Customer Service I can’t wait to go back

Nothing wrong with the food for the price. Staff was friendly. However, I hope they are reading for a suggestion. It’s COVID season, I get it. However, our table was 3 feet from the counter. They proceed to casually spray a cleaning agent and wipe down the counter. Any guess what my foot tasted like for the next 5 minutes? I don’t have breathing issues, but it caused me to start coughing uncomfortably. Look, spraying with that stuff at the end of the day, great idea. Soap/water works fine the rest of the time without irritation. Or better yet, try Caldera. It’s a counter spray with a wonderful smell—you’re welcome! If you feel compelled to wipe down with a disinfectant with customers eating, spray the cloth in back and then come out and wipe down the surface. Use some common sense. You wouldn’t want to taste that while you are eating; your paying customers don’t either.
