Black Pear - Barrington

Black Pear is always my go-to for amazing local breakfast. The food is incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. The coffee and espresso drinks are unmatched in my opinion, and the staff are friendly and helpful! There is also an assortment of prepared salads and sides that are fresh and delicious. Sometimes they carry Knead Doughnuts so that's another bonus! They even have rewards you can accrue to save money on future trips! This place has a good variety of good and drinks, although it?s a bit overpriced and sometimes the chai lattes and hot chocolate are totally flavorless. I can?t give more than three stars because the bathrooms here are always disgusting. Bathrooms at busy coffee shops need to be cleaned more than once a month?cleaned as in scrubbed with cleaning products!

Incredibly delicious and wide variety menus, multiple flavor options to add to your coffees, teas, etc., clean and comfortable cafe, and amazingly sweet and friendly staff! I always recommend BP for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Keep doing what you?re doing, everyone, even through a pandemic, it is clear that BP?s #1 goal is customer satisfaction. :

Amazing! Had the matcha latte and breakfast with eggs, bacon and sourdough. Everything absolutely delicious. Will definitely return.

I just tried this little cafe for the first time. A friend brought me to a birthday dinner. I found it wonderful and will definitely see it again. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with one side of potatoes with chorizo. Both were delicious! When I went back to find the bathroom, I noticed a refrigerator with the most amazing looking strawberries! I asked if they were organic and my surprise. And I could add very cheaply. The bathrooms were unusual, but I found them clean. One is very small, but with the option of a larger one is very for those who need it. Also the young ladies waiting for us were very sweet and accommodating. It was a wonderful experience!
