Moretti's Ristorante Pizzeria Barrington

Food was good. Service was poor. Waiter was in training so I will not blame him but the trainer was not doing anything to help. Managers were advised of situation but really didn’t seem to care. I will go back to Moretti’s but NOT this one!

My kids ordered mozzarella sticks cheesy garlic bread which they enjoyed but the food was very disappointing. There was flavor lacking in every dish we ordered, and it varied from pizza, spaghetti lasagna. We love Italian food and eat it often but this was probably the worst tasting Italian we’ve ever had. Looks like a fun neighborhood bar for drinks but that’s about it.

Great food and service, but an annoying surcharge was added to the check. We told the server to remove it, which he did. This to me seems an unethical and sneaky practice. Instead of screwing people with fees, just raise your prices 3 per cent and be transparent about it.

We have had better experiences at this restaurant before. Over all the meal was good, some dishes did leave something to be desired. The waiter was OK, but for the price, I would have expected more over all.

Service was terrible. They didn’t seat us until 30 minutes after our reservation time. It took forever to get our food. Food was cold when we did get it. Our server never checked on us to see if we needed anything like drink refills and we had to physically leave our table to go find her to get our check.
