The Round House - Barrow-in-Furness

We had a delightful lunch at the restaurant, enjoying a sweet chili roll, ploughman's platter, and coffee. The food was well-priced, the views were beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the restrooms were clean. It was a wonderful experience overall.

The cafe was clean and bustling. My husband chose a bacon and egg sandwich while I had a panini. We both indulged in some cake - the biscoff cheesecake was delicious and the lemon drizzle was very tasty. The drink selection was excellent. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise for a seaside cafe.

I recently purchased a bacon and cheese panini for nearly £5, and was disappointed to find that there was only a minimal amount of cheese on it. Given the current circumstances, I expected better service to keep customers happy. I will be choosing a different place to dine in the future.

As I write this review we are in the middle of a national lockdown due to a pandemic. The hub has offered a delivery service for food. We fortunately ordered one yesterday and it was fantastic. Lovely fresh food delivered on time maintaining the social distancing. The filled buns and salad with veg crisps are very tasty and the cakes are delicious. I look forward to more deliverys and visiting when we can. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Great venue for a drink and food when walking on Biggar Bank. It has been missing a cafe over there for years.
