Charlie D's - Barrys Bay

So much to choose! we had the charlie di burger with pommes and mozzarella sticks. the burgers were delicious and juicy. the fries were delish and the mozzarella sticks were still very warm, so the cheese stretched out of the mouth when they pulled it. away my son has already asked when we can go back while we camp near this week! and the ladies who work inside were super friendly and helpful when I could not choose what to order.

I've been coming up to a cottage in the Barry's Bay area for the past 5 or so years. Everytime I've been, I've driven past Charlie D's with the family and always wanted to stop in. This year, after some hiking in Algonquin Park, we...were ravenous and settled on this little place to refuel. Now, with Covid, the indoor seating has been removed, but we were lucky enough to get a picnic table outside. The kids got hotdogs and fries (huge portions) and my wife and I ordered a poutine and a dirty dog to share. The wait was a little bit, but, with current pandemic protocols in place and everything, its completely understandable. Staff was friendly, service was good and the food was great. I think we've found a new annual tradition for lunch/dinner after hiking in Algonquin!

Great place have been going there since they first opened I can go there and when my food is done they call me by name great that with all the people that go there they remember my name it makes me want to come back...over and over again and I was there at closing picking up my order on 11/17/19 and the food was amazing and don’t forget food open all year round so don’t forget to check it out amazing food amazing service amazing place.

'Poutine with personality ', touts the board. They have numerous twists on the classic dish including sausage and bacon to spicy beans plus much more. Also burgers, dogs and gluten free items. Big portions. I personally found the gravy a little rich and could have shared...a regular size poutine but that 's just me. First time someone has ever taken the time to find out how our meal was at a chip truck!

Best poutine EVER. The food was amazing. Pork schnitzel and hot dog just as great. Searched for a place on trip advisor and went because of their reviews. Upon discovery, it’s more of a food truck but the foods what matters. Highly recommend.
