Pop's Comfort Kitchen - Bartlett

I wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars because I met one of the managers and really liked the atmosphere. I decided to try the Daily Special since I wasn't familiar with chopped steak. When I got home and tried it, I was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of homemade Salisbury Steak, with two delicious rolls and two types of gravy. The chopped steak even had a bacon strip wrapped around it. Overall, everything was fantastic except for the chopped steak itself. I originally planned to try the roast, but the chopped steak caught my eye on Google Maps. Despite this, I would still highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely go back to try their pot roast in the future. Check out their website for the menu instead of trying to browse it here.

Wow, what an amazing, awesome meal yesterday from Pops Comfort Food. After my outpatient procedure at VA, my daughter ordered me the sausage and shrimp gumbo and it was smoking good. They could?ve added more rice to compensate for the amount of gumbo. Shealso ordered the country fried steak with northern beans, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was absolutely stunning,very tasty. Awesome meal Pops!

We were thrilled that we decided to stop by this restaurant and were delighted when we saw the delicious food. We were so eager to dig in that we completely forgot to take pictures. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, and the fried chicken dinner with mac and cheese and coleslaw was also very tasty. The fried catfish was perfectly cooked and had a great batter. For dessert, we enjoyed the caramel cake and ice cream, which was delicious. We highly recommend this place as it was very clean and our waitress was fantastic. We will definitely be visiting again the next time we are in the area.

I recently ordered my favorite meal from Pop's which included chicken livers, mashed potatoes, and cabbage. Everything was delicious except for the cabbage. Sadly, it looked and tasted old or burnt this time.

So we called on Pop's Comfort Kitchen and they said in 15-20 minutes we could pick it up. We had 6 orders consisting of 4 burgers, 1 salmon and 1 nacho. 1 hour and 10 minutes later we finally get our food. 4 orders were not correct, 2 were cold and there were 2 fishmeals in the bag we had not even ordered. No excuse, no discount for inconvenience and no explanation for why it took so long. Given the price, bad service and food quality that I doubt, each of us will be back. Good luck pop’s, you will need it. *Update* Pop's comfort kitchen has completely dissolved. Melissa von Pop contacted me after our unsatisfied first encounter, apologized for our experience and generously offered to make it free when we reordered. Last Monday we placed our orders and everything was in time, orders were right and the food was hot and delicious. Thank you again to Melissa for really getting through and doing things right. Errors can be made in any business, but it is like you keep from those who keep customers. Pops You have 6 customers who will be absolutely back.
