The Parson's Corner - Barton

I was on the hunt for a new spot closer to home in West Charleston, VT, and decided to check out this restaurant at 9 AM on a Saturday. It was bustling with activity, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. We opted to sit at the counter to avoid a 15-minute wait for a table. It was clear the food would be great as we watched the owner and staff efficiently preparing meals in the open kitchen from our vantage point. Although the food took about 25 minutes to arrive, it was absolutely worth the wait, and we can't wait to go back. The staff kept our coffee cups filled and were all smiles, making the experience even more enjoyable. This has definitely become our new go-to spot—thank you!

My wife and I stopped in this place early Sunday morning, sat down and the waitress was very cheerful and everything, we placed our order, and after she brought our drinks, we were never asked again if we wanted more coffee,she was very busy talking to some friends at a nearby table! Finally after I said aloud I need more coffee, she gave me some more, after 30 minutes brought our food and we never saw her again until she brought our bill!! Food was ok, but the sever was horrible,I dont know where they found her, but she needs to learn how to waitress and not stand chatting with friends and ignore customers!! wont go back!!

Ah! Barton is truly lucky to have its own 5-star restaurant!

I dined at this restaurant on October 5, 2021. My husband and I felt somewhat unwelcome due to our seating arrangement near the front door, directly across from the kitchen, while all the other guests were seated in the main dining area. There were two additional tables in our section, and I wish I had requested a different spot since it became chilly every time the door opened. However, the food was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, but their service lagged once the main dining room became busy. I would definitely return, but I'd make sure to ask for a seat in the main dining area, away from the door.
