Pete's Place - Barton-le-Clay

I was here a few times because of coffee and it's a nice little caffe. the owner works really hard to enjoy her visit. the house made cakes are delicious and the boiled eating looks good even though I didn't try.

Introduced to Pete's Place by a colleague and was surprised by this little gem. Fab selection of yummy home cooked cakes and a great selection of teas too! Friendly staff too in spite of our arrival not long before closing time. Will definitely be back.

This charming little café offers an excellent selection of freshly cooked breakfast dishes. While I only tried the breakfast, I'm sure they have other light meals available throughout the day. There are a couple of outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying a meal in nice weather, and plenty of space inside as well. The service is friendly, making it a worthwhile visit for anyone.

The dining experience was absolutely wonderful! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. However, there are a few areas for improvement. While waiting for our meal, I noticed that the counter appeared dirty and could benefit from a kickboard. The seating area with cushions also needs some cleaning. I also observed that the staff was cutting the cake without gloves, which was concerning. Perhaps they could use a fly pad as well. Despite these issues, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back!

The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. While the prices may seem high compared to other places, once you taste the food, you'll realize it's worth every penny. There is street parking available nearby.
