If you are looking for a sophisticated place with a long and varied menu, this is not the place for you. The room is rustic, warm in colors and cozy. Like the Trattories of once, a lot of substance and few special effects. They welcomed us well, with smiles and greetings. We were in three and decided to do the classic Sunday lunch outside the house. The menu is dictated by voice and here we will make a final reflection. Few dishes, first, second and antispasti but also in this case the reason is there and we understood it an hour later. In this trattoria you make a traditional, good, genuine cuisine, rich in Abruzzo tradition. The goal is to do a few things but good with quality ingredients chosen according to what the territory currently offers. You buy the available raw materials and then you make the menu. That is why, a few dishes but made with quality products and selected raw materials. This is understood by appetizers, from a slice of cheese or ham in the dish when your palate tells you that they are not exactly the ones bought at the supermarket. We are in Abruzzo and among the first we chose the Mugnaia, a dish of tradition that we ate so many times, but this time we licked literally the dish with bread. We ordered two, and it was three. Abundant portions that also satisfy the eye. Also appetizers and tiramisu are to try, very good. We also offered homemade cantucci, Genziana and Limoncello. We get to the bill. Prices are more than honest and honest. We didn't take so many dishes, but, to give you an idea, if we went to a pub we'd spend more. The only note we can do to Giancarlo, the owner, is the menu’ in voice and not written. It is true that probably for how everything is managed, quality and prices, in the end there is no need, but the customer may need to read the prices and know what it is spending. We will definitely come back because now that we know Giancarlo, his way of catering, his good Abruzzese cuisine and the excellent price ratio of his menu’, we will put this place among our favorites where to return as soon as possible. Small and cosy restaurant, with very homemade atmosphere. Let's get some appetizers and a spit picanha with contours. In the appetizers there was also the Pecora to the very good “callara”. Picanha excellent and tender. Sweet, coffee and bitter with wine from the house. Price slightly higher than expectations but nothing to say, given the increases in recent months and also seen the quality of meat.
The place is located in a kind of very nice square, with visible parking place, the seats are both internal and external. Valerio immediately welcomed us by making us feel comfortable. In the first place he recommended one of the specialties of the house: of the “fried cheese” (what a surprise, something very good), after which we ordered the famous roasts, apart from the chili oil to be able to season at will. Well, what to say. perfect cooking and spectacular flavor. All exquisite, it is a place I highly recommend. Great value for money!
