Very nice restaurant with an enormous fireplace burning wood, very good dishes well prepared and very well represented

As I wrote in my review almost exactly a year ago, this is a must stop place for me whenever I 'm in Trentino and I have the opportunity. This time I was on my own and as usual I loved the food, the friendly and efficient service (by Franca Merz -the owner- and her front of house collaborator), and I also loved...the prices! I don 't know where else in the region you can get this quality of traditional cuisine for such a reasonable amount (also considering the cost of everything in these times). I had the classics I often have: Rufioi (vegetable filled parcels, here incredibly light and well-filled) with butter, baccala ' mantecato (creamed salt-cod) with capers, and chestnut puree with ice-cream. Rich food, more than adequate portions, yet you don 't feel heavy afterwards: always the best mark of good cuisine!

When the cold season begins, it is a pleasure to enter this Locanda and find the inviting fireplace on. And many more culinary pleasures await you... The chef patron Franca Merz offers a completely original menu drawing from both the Trentino and the Piedmont tradition. She is very careful not only with the cooking, but also with the selection of the ingredients, from the butter, to the meats, to the cheese, to the vegetables...everything. In one sentence, she does things *properly*. In my last visit, we loved the pumpkin ravioli and the rufioi a speciality here as primi, the porcini with sausage and polenta and the salt-cod mantecato as mains, and finally a selection of Bunet a Piedmont dessert , an ice-cream with a seasonal chestnut pure, and a chestnut set custard. Everything is full of flavour here, but even the richest dishes oh, that sausage with the porcini! are balanced and do not feel heavy. In the room, service is friendly, including by Franca Merz herself, who will give you any information you wish on the dishes, and advise you on wines. Prices are moderate in relation to the high quality. I wish I could come over here more often...

Abbiamo provato il servizio di asporto e siamo rimasti davvero contenti. Il cibo era squisito, le porzioni generose. Il personale era cortese e disponibile. Esperienza ottima.

Sono andato a pranzo in questo ristorante, fin dall'inizio sono stato accolto da un personale molto gentile, amichevole e pronto a soddisfare le richieste del cliente, servizio veramente veloce, ottimo cibo e porzioni appena sufficienti. Locale pulito e in ottime condizioni, in pieno stile trentino. Prezzi nella media. Consigliato alle famiglie e non solo, ambiente molto tranquillo.
