Fish N Chick N - Basildon

I have been a customer at this restaurant for a few years now. While their delivery service is convenient for business, it has unfortunately come at the expense of their walk-in customers. There have been times when I have had to wait for 5 minutes before even being acknowledged by the staff who are busy with delivery orders. This has resulted in long wait times for walk-in customers. I believe that customers dining in should be given priority. The food quality is also not consistent. While it is generally good, there are times when it falls short. Because of this, we have started going to a different independent restaurant further away.

Beware if you decide to walk in to this restaurant. We waited 20 minutes to be seated and another 25 minutes to receive our food. It seems like Kodroe, a special item on the menu, is actually just a regular order at this chip shop. The staff appear to be more focused on quantity over quality when it comes to serving food.

The restaurant is situated in the downtown area of Corringham. I ordered the fish for my main course, which not only looked good but also tasted delicious. For dessert, I decided to try the blackout pudding with sauce, which was very flavorful. We also shared a generous portion of chips, which were a hit with my companions. The service was friendly and the wait time was minimal.

We live local and wish our local chip shop was worth the visit. Unfortunately this bank holiday we gave it another try and the had the same result. The chips were barely warm and the portion size is very poor. When you buy a take...away and it comes to nearly £20.00 for 2 , I might be old fashioned but I expect to get enough and for it to be hot. All they are doing is forcing the trade elsewhere and I don't think anybody wants that. Please get things back on track.

We had this on Friday night. We have used this takeaway before and had great food. This Friday was no exception. Excellent Cod and great chips. We have used other F&C shops in Basildon before and they have always been a disappointment but this one...is very good . Adams F&C shop in Ballards Walk is a prime example of poor food. Sorry but a truly bad experience at this one. Anyway enjoy the first one.
