Bell Inn - Basingstoke and Deane

I just stopped by for a drink, but I found the service to be friendly and the atmosphere to be warm and inviting.

My group stopped by this pub for a few drinks while staying nearby for the night. It's definitely a neighborhood spot where everyone is familiar with each other. We were pleasantly surprised by how welcoming everyone was, as they engaged in friendly conversations and even let us have a go at the pool table. The friendliest German shepherd joined in on the fun with us. One man even went out of his way to find the bus schedule for us so we could make it back in time for dinner. I wish this pub was in our own neighborhood!

This charming, traditional pub offers affordable beer and a welcoming atmosphere. The locals are friendly and happy to chat. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

The Bell Free House is hands down the greatest pub in this beautiful town! I love it! I've always loved it. The beer is delicious and the staff are amazing. Nothing like crashing a Quiz night (trivia for us Colonist) and bringing in some clutch American answers (like Ty Cobb; May 2022 quiz night). I stayed here when I was a kid in 2000 upstairs and if I could I'd stay again. Thank you for making my stay in wild and wonderful Whitty!
