Ensuring everything was set up correctly, the timeline was followed, the bride groom were taken care of with everything they needed. You could see that he sincerely loved his job helping people. Aside from Nick, all the banquet staff were nice, helpful, efficient.I used to be a venue coordinator elsewhere have worked along side many event coordinators and let me tell you, Nick has the eye for detail and the passion for this career that shows through his work.Nick, I really appreciate all you did to make Rachel Karl’s wedding an absolute dream. The only suggestion I would have for the events team would be to increase directional signage for guests to find their way to the “wedding lawns”.
We booked a last-minute family trip for Father's Day and we really enjoyed the location and friendliness of everyone we encountered. However, for the price we paid, we were disappointed to find a room that was not very clean and amenities that were not available. For example, we found belongings of previous visitors in our room, which called into question the thoroughness by which it was cleaned. I went to make my morning coffee and discovered hair in the water reserve. Mounds of dust and old trash under the bed, around the mantel and TV, etc. Hair in the shower. The outdoor grill was filthy and there were no tools for cleaning. We selected this location for the views and ability to spend time around the fire pits in the evening, make smores with our daughter and enjoy the lake, as advertised. But because of a wedding, the fire pits were not available for other paying patrons. We were never warned of this.Again, nothing against the people, but when you start charging premium prices and resort fees, you expect premium service and resort-like amenities that are in a usable state. Prices should be commensurate with the offerings--even if there is a surge during a Holiday.
The view was absolutely incredible and the peace and quiet made it that much more enjoyable. The floors were pretty dirty in the room but other than that the spacious location made it easily accommodating for my family. The fully equipped kitchen was definitely a bonus!
The rooms are not cheap , but are nice and ours had a full kitchen, and BBQ on back patio , the service was pleasant and prompt when we asked for more items like pillows and a blanket , we had our dog sitter come down with something at last minute and had to bring him with us, when we called to ask if he could come they made accommodations for him at a rate of $150 for our stay , it's rare that a place will allow a pet in a non pet room . The map they give makes things seem like they are farther than they are so keep that in mind . We will visit again for sure .Nearby activities: The lake is right here with lots of activities, they have lots of rentals for boats ,jetskies, pontoon boats , if you don't have or didn't bring your own , they are not cheap but make a good memory.
Beautiful lake, cute cabins nestled in pine forest. Lots of water fun to be had, and staff at reception super proactive and helpful when we had car issues. The breakfasts are fantastic and the pool a bonus. Thanks Pines Team for a lovely stay. The evening entertainment at lake side restaurant a must!
