I hate to say this, but I spent the whole day at copper kettle. I had the experience to have breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner here. I want to let you know that this is a great resort restaurant/ bar. Great customer service and decent (resort) prices. Draft beer selection is good. The Korean pulled pork isn?t very Korean but tasty. The salmon dinner special was decent.
I visited Copper Kettle for lunch on Sunday while staying at a tree-top Airbnb and found that I didn't have many dining options. The staff were very friendly and provided good service. This restaurant is situated within Bryce Resort. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which was overly cheesy and lacked flavor. I also tried a veggie sandwich that contained only vegetables with no patty, and I found the selections for vegans or vegetarians to be quite limited. On the bright side, the fries were excellent—thin and crispy. The restaurant boasts a stunning view of the slopes, which added to the overall experience.
On my second visit, I tried to order takeout, which turned into a bit of a hassle. The hostess seemed confused about how to assist me since there was a member party happening. After wandering around for a while, she went to ask someone for help and returned a few minutes later to inform me that I could place my order at the bar. However, the bar was crowded, and although I was noticed, I wasn't acknowledged for several minutes, so I left after waiting 5-7 minutes without being helped. The next time I went for lunch, I requested an outdoor table, only to be told that they weren't seating outside. I asked if I could sit by the window, and they agreed, but then a few minutes later asked me to move to a table behind me, away from the window. I complied but waited a long time without being served before deciding to leave. My final visit was with a dear friend who came to see me. After a long day, we opted to stay local despite my previous hesitations. This time, a more mature lady was at the hostess stand. When we asked if there was a table available outside, she inquired if we had a reservation—we did not, as I had no idea one was needed after three visits. She proceeded to lecture us on the importance of making a reservation and explained that she couldn't seat us outside due to rain being in the forecast, even though it wasn't raining at the time and didn't rain at all that evening. While I appreciated her concern, her long-winded explanations about the weather and table umbrellas felt unnecessary. Despite our attempts to show understanding and compassion, she continued to talk to us as if we were children. It was an odd experience, and at that point, I simply decided to...
The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and inviting when we picked up our takeout order. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered three Kettle burgers, but each one was missing either the onions or the tomatoes. The fries served with the burgers were all stale. On the bright side, the buffalo wings were passable, and the spinach artichoke dip was also satisfactory. Maybe next time we'll dine in and have a better experience with the food.
