La Taverna Grill Bistro

Staying in The Holiday Inn Bath, everywhere booked in town for Saturday night so decided to try this little taverna 2 mins down the road from our hotel. What a find, friendly attentive staff and absolutely delicious fresh food. Varied menu, everything we had was a really high standard, from a foodie family who have high standards! Can’t believe we found this by accident, have eaten in many of Baths eateries and this was up there with some of the best. Fabulous, I will be back.

What a great discovery just a 5-minute walk from the Holiday Inn! The food was simply amazing, authentic, and delicious. We enjoyed a variety of pizzas that were reminiscent of ones you would find in Italy - with a light, airy base. The seafood pasta and classic carbonara were also fantastic. The fresh salad was wonderful as well, and everything was served by a friendly and lovely staff. The coffee after the meal was also excellent. Thank you for a great experience, we will definitely be returning.

I made a reservation as recommended during the current situation. When I arrived, I was seated at my table, but a group of six foreign men were put at a table without a reservation and had their orders taken before us. We waited 25 minutes before anyone paid us any attention. At that point, I was close to leaving... When our food finally arrived, the Bruschetta was underwhelming - the bread was not even toasted and the toppings were lackluster. Then, our main course arrived as a pizza instead of the Risotto we had ordered. It was a disappointing experience overall. The loud behavior of the foreign men made us feel uncomfortable, and when we paid our bill, we were informed that we were the only ones who had made a reservation and were treated poorly. It is important to improve your service during these difficult times, as establishments like yours contribute to the challenges facing the UK.

We dined at this restaurant twice during our two-day stay and enjoyed both meals. The food was delicious, well-presented, and we had a great lunch as well as an evening meal. I tried the chicken and steak dishes, both of which were equally fantastic. The staff was friendly, and even the chef greeted us. If you're ever in the area, be sure to give them a try.

We called here for lunch and they about served everything from a breakfast baguette to full menu. The chicken we had was great 2 large chicken breast and the sauce was amazing. We went back again in the evening the day after and had the steak and peppercorn sauce. All meals nicely presented and hot and plentyful. Staff where friendly and even the chef said hello. Small and friendly place. Food excellent
