We ordered over the phone at half 6, ordering 2 cod and chips and another bag of chips, and we was told that it would be a 45 minute wait and to arrive at 7:15, but reassured that phone orders would be prioritised.I arrived at 7:15 and due to social distancing measures, I was told to wait out in the car park and my food would be brought to me shortly.I ended up waiting for 45 minutes while walk in orders were quickly served before me. Not only did they forget my order, several other customers were also waiting just as long as me. I had to prompt the man bringing out the orders twice as they had clearly forgotten me again and weren’t prioritising my order as I was promised and when I spoke the them several times they didn’t apologise at all for keeping waiting.I understand that this is a difficult time and the business has had to adapt to adhere to social distancing measures and I’ll admit that there measures were well done. However these measures have been in place for a few weeks now and these issues should of been ironed out.It was a shame as I have heard good things about this place and now my first visit will always be tainted by the memory of this wait.

Robbie's Plaice is open!Despite last night's announcement, that restaurants are to close immediately, for Covid 19, Robbie's is open for take-away business.I spoke to Danny, one of the managers, and he said that next week (from 23rd March), they will be delivering food, for a minimum order of £15.This is great news, and we all need to do our bit to support local businesses. We were greeted by Danny, and he talked us through today's special, which were Piri Piri Chicken, and Grilled Salmon; both served with chips and salad. Our third dish was cod and chips with gravy.We ordered two Americanos and a cup of tea. Danny listened carefully to our orders, and made some adjustments. The food arrived probably ten minutes, or so later. The chicken was excellent, and exceeded my expectations; the salmon was also well received. The cod and chips is always good.We paid at the end, and the bill was £37. We were given complimentary Elizabeth Shaw mints, for later.Well done, Dan, you're a credit to the business.Chris, Susan and Rose.

The breakfast brunch is an amazing price and the food is outstanding. Highly recommended. Take away or eat in.
