The Wholefood Kitchen - Bathurst

Either you like healthy dining or you don't, and as is the vogue in Katoomba, Leura, etc here is great organic food, vegan options suitable for all. Leave happy and we'll feeling, quiet place, good staff. Trout salad is the bees knees.

This restaurant, known for its delicious locally sourced food (mainly from the Co-op nearby), was chosen as the location for a recent academic discussion. Those who had never been before were highly impressed with the quality of the food, particularly the burgers made with locally sourced lamb.

I've visited here on a number of occasions and been very satisfied with the casual professionalism the owner (?with an American accent) has shown and the efficiency of her staff. I've had fresh broccoli and haloumi salad, eggs and kale and various other bits and pieces and delicious paleo style chocolate nut slice. The only downside would be the short opening hours, I've only caught them Wednesday lunchtimes.

I've eaten here a number of times, and have never once been disappointed. The food is always fresh and dishes are interesting, the staff are great fun and super helpful, the kitchen does everything to accommodate dietary requirements (my housemate is vegan, and I'm diabetic..). I won't drink coffee anywhere else in Bathurst.To the reviewer who didn't like the kale.. I have no idea what's wrong with you. Have you eaten kale before? Do you not like vegetables? Are you personally offended by the colour green? You obviously have no soul!This dish is fabulous... the kale is garlicky and sautéed crisp, with a lovely fresh bagel and perfectly poached eggs to top it all off.

I was in search of a nice lunch spot and stumbled upon this amazing little restaurant that offers delicious, healthy and well-prepared food. I had a wonderful meal accompanied by a nice cup of coffee and would highly recommend this place to anyone. It's a fantastic spot and we will definitely be returning in the future.
