Pelican Donuts - Baton Rouge

It's been quite a while since we last visited this place, but we used to come here often since it's nearby—probably before the pandemic. This morning, we ordered two dozen donuts, and I don't know what went wrong, but they just weren't good. Has there been a change in ownership? They lacked flavor and even seemed a bit stale. I'm really disappointed. I think we'll need to find a new go-to donut shop.

Really good donuts. Under new management as of 1/20. Owners very personable. Hot menu coming next month. American and Filipino food.

I ordered the cheeseburger combo, the bun was huge but the Patty was so small i literally had to pull the bread off around the burger to where the meats start.

The donuts here taste like they were made yesterday. I recommend going the extra quarter-mile to Mary Lee for hot, fresh donuts instead.

I saw that the restaurant changed ownership on June 1, so I'm unsure whether the last review was written under the new owners or the previous ones. Are the new owners just as good as the Filipino owners?
