Feedback gevenIt's refreshing to find an Asian buffet that doesn't feel entirely Americanized. The grill section was great, the food was tasty, and there was an impressive selection of desserts. Since I don't eat fish, I can't comment on its presentation, but everything else looked appealing. The restaurant itself was clean, and while not all the staff spoke English as their first language (which I see as a positive for authenticity), they were friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was well-stocked.
I have rarely encountered a Chinese buffet with such a variety of seafood options for a weekly lunch. While most places typically offer only chicken, this Asian buffet featured an array of dishes including different styles of shrimp, fish, and Neptune salad. There were so many food choices available—peanut butter chicken and sushi of all kinds—that I didn't even have time to sample everything. The desserts looked appealing, and the salad and fruit bar were well-stocked too. For just $10, it's definitely the best value around. The owner and staff were friendly, and they efficiently cleaned up used dishes. Overall, it’s a very clean restaurant.
We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of options at this buffet compared to the Chinese buffets we visited in Lansing. We all appreciated the layout, which allowed us to serve ourselves from both sides—this must be quite efficient when it's busy. However, we noticed that the food wasn’t being replenished promptly as it ran low, and the stir-fry area lacked flavor, despite my attempts to enhance it with sauces and different vegetables. The service was generally good, but I found it a bit off-putting when the server asked if we were ready to settle the bill, even though three of us were still eating. We had only been there for about 40 minutes, not hours. Overall, we would definitely return to enjoy the variety again.
In town for a quick break. The family took this for lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was hot. Fried shrimp was good. Apple cake and roasted dough was good. Didn't love the other dishes. Mall Food Court Essen is a step up. A lot of change.
I have eaten thousands of Chinese buffets. This is a typical, average Chinese buffet. The variety of food is reduced a little compared to pre-COVID era. The price is ok as many other restaurants increases prices significantly. Some other buffets charges more but don't even have sushi. Lunch price is $9.59 before tax/tips; dinner price is $13.99. They charge more for weekends for the same food. See my photos for detailed foods and prices.
