Suffice it to say I no longer eat croissants elsewhere for fear that I am wasting my croissant quota for the week and instead save it for the slim possibility that I may actually wake up at a decent hour on the weekend and wait in line around the corner to enjoy one of these amazing treats. Sounds incredibly pretentious, I know, but these are hands down the best croissants I have ever eaten. And if you ask my friends, I am a bit of a pastry freak.
This bakery is a place that you should go for a lunch date with someone special, it is also a place you should go to take care of your soul on a lazy morning, no matter whether its Monday or Saturday. Grab the paper, pull on some shorts, and go get yourself a slice of Paris.
I went with several friends. We each got a desert everyone shared. All of them were wonderful. It was a little hectic but a great place for desert.
The French Bakery is a unique place among the cafes and bakeries in Miami. It is very crowded at times, but for good reason. Laid-back atmosphere with reasonable prices (especially for Miami Beach) for very good food. The Nicoise salad with tuna was excellent. They also have a nice selection of wines that are considerable bargains. They also have a beautiful cold case filled with cakes, tarts and incredible eclairs, early it's quieter and you can still get their delicious croquet monsieur. We loved it!
