Baytown Cafe Taqueria

I'll start by saying my waitress was fantastic! She knew her stuff even though the restaurant didn't serve what we described to her. She had a great personality, enthusiastic but not annoying, friendly but not a bother and knowledgeable to say the least. My girlfriend enjoy the street tacos and that's what we were really there for. Having said that, I ordered a cheeseburger. I saw the picture on the menu, a big, juicy hand made beef patty and I could not resist the temptation. Much to my dismay when I got my plate, I had what appeared to be high school cafeteria cheeseburger. That accompanied with fries from out of a sack, minus lagniappe, was far from gratifying. Again everything around me looked and smelled great, a local place with local people and local food and a friendly atmosphere. Some improvements would not hurt the place though.

The food is delicious as always. I highly recommend the birria and also the breakfast tacos. Overall everything is amazing and the prices are great!

This is my go to lunch stop anytime I am in Baytown. Great food, great prices. Salsa is excellent and chip are fried tortilla's.

This place is a hidden gem. Delicious kumch and breakfast. They have the best pancakes I have ever had

Good food and good people. Only reason for 4 stars is the prices have gone way up. 40 bucks for breakfast for 2 people seems like a lot. But great Mexican breakfast!
