Breakwater Restaurant Bar - Beaufort

It was our 50th anniversary outing, my wife liked the menu on line. Excellent service, greated at the hostess stand perfectly. Our table was ready. The timing was not rushed , which was very nice. Cocktails and appitizers were very timely. My wife had two appitizers for her meal and i had the pork chop. It was very good. The night was perfect. It was our first time at Breakwater. But we will be back, thank you for making our night very memorable.

What a fabulous dining experience. We arrived early for our reservation and sat at the bar for cocktails and an appetizer. The delightful bartender (unfortunately I don't remember her name) prepared us cocktails and served us tuna tartare. She was friendly and professional. The cocktails were perfect and the tuna was fresh and delicious. Excellent sauce on the tuna with fried wantons on the side. When we were seated for dinner, we ordered the corn bread to start. I don't know how they made it so light. It arrived in a small cast iron skillet. It was light and flavorful. About the best corn bread we've ever had. Our server, Jess was excellent. She paced our meal perfectly. I had the fried chicken and my husband had the pork chop. The chicken was crispy and moist and tender and incredibly flavorful. Loved the mashed potatoes and collards. The spicy sauce with the chicken kicked a little punch to offset the richness of the chicken. The pork chop was perfectly cooked juicy and flavorful. It came with a delicious corn pudding. Could have had another piece of that! We had a nice glass of Pinot noir with dinner and finished with the lemon sorbet. Could not ask for a better dining experience.

Dinner was excellent, nice variety of options on the menu, cocktail options were lovely and the drinks perfect. Service was top notch. I would highly recommend Breakwater to everyone.

Brought our friends who had never been there before they were thrilled!!! They loved the food, and our server was wonderful! We really enjoyed the specialty cocktails as well... not one negative thing to say!!!! 5 star evening!!!! Thank you!

This place was absolutely amazing! The food was so good, the atmosphere was elegant and tasteful and the service was great. Our waitress was so kind and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a classy dinner.
