Dock House Restaurant - Beaufort

The personal was friendly. from any reason no indoor seating. they were all sitting outside. Eating was in order. the service was slow. great location directly on the water. wife and son had the garnelenburger. not really a burger, only 4 pieces garnelen on a bungalow. that's it. I had a burger, not very good. it tasted burned like they didn't clean the grill. we had the buffalo garnel appetizer that was really good.

Great place right at the waterway in front st. beaufort. both my daughter and I ordered the garnelen N-Grotten. she didn't give her what she had to do. do not let them be thrown away from the recyclable, we ate outside not commenting when used inside fine china, but eating on the plate was spectacular and that counts to me!

I got the Flounder Plate. My wife got the Down East Shrimp and we shared. Large portions. Good food. Would recommend. Sat beside the boardwalk. Good service.

Apparently they just reopened after being closed for 2 years so that hopefully explains the whorable food. The steak was good...and should be for over $60. The 2 burgers ordered at medium rare were done like sawdust with no flavor. 2 drinks ordered were mixed so bad we had them replaced...the new ones were just as bad. Expected more after a $180 bill (before tip). That being said we will still give it another try after they get the bugs worked out after reopening because it has absolutely has the best river view seating in Stillwater. Mary, out waitress did a great job so we didn't complain.
