Shrimp Shack - Beaufort

I absolutely loved the po' boy sandwich and shrimp! There's something on the menu for everyone. It's a must-visit whether you're heading into the islands or leaving. Just be sure to check their hours of operation. Always support and enjoy local businesses!

It's been over 20 years since I last visited the Shrimp Shack, and I can still recall the crunch of the best hush puppies I've ever had. I'm not a seafood lover, so I always enjoyed my parents' coleslaw and their hush puppies.

In our family of seafood enthusiasts, the shrimp and fried mussels received high praise. Both dishes pleased our seafood lovers. On the land side, the hamburgers were surprisingly good for a seafood restaurant. However, the French fries were frozen and quite forgettable. The hush puppies were large but lacked flavor. As for dessert, it was pre-packaged and felt very automatic, so I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for seafood fans in the area, and their shrimp burgers do not disappoint. The staff was friendly and attentive. Just a heads up: they only accept cash and checks.

What a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat! The shrimp burger was incredible and definitely worth the brief wait. If you have the chance to visit, it's more than worth the trip. We would definitely come back!

This is a fantastic spot for fresh, deep-fried seafood. The prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent! I had the shrimp burger (ground shrimp shaped into a patty and deep-fried) and the flounder sandwich, and both were delicious. Their hushpuppies are also a real treat. I do wish they offered butter or honey for dipping the hush puppies. Just a heads-up: it's cash only. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it!
