Yama - Beaufort

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The waitress was attentive and courteous, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting, creating a pleasant vibe. The sushi was fresh, and the chicken fried rice was absolutely delicious! I have no complaints at all.

I don't visit Yama as often as I'd like, but I really should, because the sushi is incredible. I've been there several times, and I've never experienced any delays or issues with food or service. The customer service is outstanding, with everyone being friendly and smiling. The food is fantastic, and the sushi is absolutely delicious. If you haven't been to Yama yet, you're missing out on a wonderful experience.

I have to mention our chef, Toy (apologies if I spelled that wrong). Not only was he an excellent cook, but he was also incredibly friendly and engaged with our kids, making jokes and entertaining them throughout the meal. I’d return just for his wonderful service and the lively atmosphere he created. The Hibachi he prepared was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. He definitely deserves a raise! Our waitress was also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone; it was a fantastic experience! We’ll be back for lunch next time!

Our party had the Filet Mignon and Chicken Combo and the Rib Eye Steak and Shrimp Combo (Hibachi room). The cook was entertaining and polite and the food was fresh and tasty (steak tasteful and delicate, shrimp was fresh and plump). The shares were quite significant. We would have taken remnants home, but it was all so delicious that we extended our stay and cleaned our plates. This is a great place to celebrate meals. It is also super child-friendly.

This was our third visit and we stuck to the usual; Hibachi meal. The meal comes with I thought) soup or salad, and a shrimp appitizer. Check the menu. The salad was nothing but very wet lettuce this time, very unimpressed , the soup was a clear broth; I was expecting Miso. We got a new chef, he was entertaining but nothing like the last two. The dinner was good but seemed to be lacking in size and assortment. I guess Wednesdays are not a good day, there were only five people seated, very slow night. Choices being what they are here, I would try them again, maybe a different meal.I would still recommend them.
