Luby's - Beaumont

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Beaumont. It always offers a fantastic selection of dishes. You get to choose your meat, two sides, and a bread option with the Luanne meal for just $9, which is more than enough for me. Plus, your food is ready almost immediately!

I was traveling through Beaumont and decided to stop for the night. I saw the Luby's sign and decided to get some dinner. It was good, not as great as I remembered it was in San Antonio. I had the fish, mac cheese, loaded mashed potatoes, salad, and beet salad. I also had the cream cheese jalapeños. I didn't like the beets at all, they have a spice that I don't like, I couldn't tell what it was but I didn't eat them. The mac cheese were decent, the fish too. The potatoes were a little dry, I wish I would have got the mashed potatoes and gravy instead. I did end up taking the leftovers to my room and finishing it all. I'd go back.

I really love Luby's, but my most recent visit was disappointing. The food was served too cold, which I really don’t like. The liver, which I usually enjoy, was quite tough, and overall, I didn't enjoy the meal at all. On the bright side, the customer service was great! The waiter even took my plate and brought it to the table, ensuring we were comfortable. After attempting to enjoy my meal, I mentioned to the waiter how disappointing the food had been.

Great dining experience. The food quality was good for the price that I paid. The restaurant was not busy and I was in and out in thirty minutes. I am very pleased with the selection and the quality of the food. The staff was great and offered condiments as well as regularly refilling my drink. I highly recommend this chain when you can find one.
