Feedback gevenI reserved a table a week in advance by e-mail. Initially they failed to respond to the e-mail. That should have been my first clue. When they finally got back to me to confirm my reservation, I was hopeful. So, we arrived at the appointed date and time. There was a sign on the door saying that the restaurant didn't have enough staff to serve a meal. I can understand that things like that can happen, but the management did not even notify me by e-mail. I saw other cars pull up and leave with the same disappointed looks. Very, very poor customer service. I would suggest that potential diners look elsewhere if you want to be assured of getting a meal. This place is a waste of your time and energy.
This restaurant is close to mont st Anne. The food was very good, the bar selections were limited, the service was very good.
We had a great visit and meal. Ate the Maple Chicken and Chicken Pesto. Jean (our server) even proactively gave us the 15% discount because we were staying at the condo. The food was very good and so was the service. We were a little worried from the last few reviews but I hope those were simply an anomaly.
When we arrived at the restaurant, there were about 15 people there and we had to ask for service. We requested beer, but the beer tap was broken and there were only around 10 bottles of beer left in the entire restaurant. My daughter was given juice that was sour. The service was slow and the food was also bad. When we asked for the bill, we were initially overcharged for the kids' menu. The waiter claimed he didn't know there was a kids' menu. In total, including the tip we left, we wasted $80. I would not recommend going to this restaurant, even if you have no other choice.
We visited this restaurant twice. First night (Friday June 22) was wonderful. The owner greeted us warmly. The food was terrific. Best poutine I've ever had! Second night (Sunday, June 24) , owner wasn't there. The waitress didn't greet us. The bar tender seated us. A while later, the bartender brought us water and menus. After 30 minutes of watching the waitress make nice to everyone else, we tried to get her attention. Finally, we stood up and left. The waitress looked shocked, explaining that she had other tables to wait on. A shame, because cuisine here is excellent! It was her loss as well. We are good customers and we tip generously. I left a message for the owner to contact me before writing this review. She never did. She is a sweet person and she deserves a better review than this. I can't honestly give this restaurant a better review because of the awful attitude of the waitress. A simple acknowledgement of our presence, even a smile or a greeting would have changed the entire evening. I tried poutine sonewhere else. It was terrible.
