Ponderosa - Beaver Dam

The first time back to a Ponderosa Steakhouse in years and I have to say it wasn't too bad! The best dish was the potatoes with beef tips and the pasta salads were good. You have many desserts and a great cup of coffee. Service was also great, drinking never went empty! To beat a three star to a four big job!

I can say this for the buffet deserves absolutely 5 stars! All I ate was amazing, and they turn off food every time so you can also try other things. You need to wear a mask unless you eat at the table, and they have gloves that you need to wear when you are at the buffet. The Mac

On the way to Madison, from Green Bay, WI. This is an iconic place for us. Green Bay, WI had 2 locations (east and west even 35 years back, I can remember the original Ponderosa in GB with the old western look where you would order, and even pass through the kitchen with your tablet on the way to the Salad Bar. Anyway, it's been long gone, as the opportunity presented, we had to take it. Sure, many of you feel that oh, that's bad, that's bad. who cares. For some it is a look back into the time, a period of nostalgia. Can you find better food somewhere else? Sure, but we were there for the experience. The dinner rolls are a good example, they are as I remember them. So, that was that chicken the same, the fruit it has a Ponderosa style prep. Who knows what this magic is prep, but it's iconic. From simple things, walking in and seeing the old Panasonic cash registers, to the old menu board (yes, we actually took photos. The selection at the salad bar was good, and it was kept full. It was nice to see this old place again. Only tonight we noticed that you can't go back and see a Chi Chi's restaurant when you tried. In our condition Bonanza was also a fun place; my childhood existed that this place visited almost every single Sunday of my life. The old chicken tenders and freshly pressed lemon on it. That was my thing. Well, there are people. If you look back or just enjoy lunch, this place will take care of these two things. I wish we had another one. We love this place! We're from Green Bay and stopped here on the way home. This is the closest location... 93 miles from GB. Our server was very polite and helpful. Tap your servers well all! Especially those who go this extra mile! Kirstin was the best!
