Daddy Franks - Beaver Island

I was three times with my family in beaver island. we love the island and always look forward to daddy franks. the whole island, including daddy franks, is like a trip back to my childhood in the 1970s when I am there. I feel at home. papa! franks is always friendly and eating is great! my young son loves her hot dogs. I love her breakfast, her hamburger, pommes and eis. we met the new owner in 2019, and he was very nice. so glad he bought daddy franks and it goes on. can not wait to visit the island soon again and go to daddy franks!

The older lady with the long silver hair was clearly rude to say the least if not also racist. She took orders and served all the other members of our party before us. When it was my turn to order she turned around and went to the kitchen in the back although she had seen me waiting in line to order. This lady and this establishment are evidently not friendly to tourists and especially if you are not local or white. This is a business I would not support

Some of the Best fries and some place my kids beg to go. You will not be disappointed with the small town charm of this beaver island gem. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon with my two kids and there was no crowd or line. Two females tending shop seemed annoyed to serve us. They were sighing audibly and rolling their eyes at my boys. They did not greet us and when I concluded the business and generously left a not-deserved 20% tip they did not say thank you or goodbye. One had airpods in and either couldn't hear anything we said or ignored us when we were speaking to her. I have not encountered such rude staff since I lived in New York. Definitely not spending money at this establishment again. I would rather make my own burgers and ice cream cones for a fraction of the price and skip the passive aggression. Please get rid of these horrid women.
