Extremely clean and lovely. Friendly staff and the restaurant was world class. This is a hidden gem in Quebec! Can't wait to return. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
We decided to try out this restaurant on a weekend, where two female chefs were working in the kitchen, which seemed promising. The menu had a good selection of single dishes as well as plats principaux, which is a combination of an entree and main dish, including options like tomato soup or salad. We opted for the plats. The tomato soup was decent but a bit too sweet, and the salad lacked dressing. For our main courses, we ordered a seafood platter (scallops, shrimp, langoustine, and squid rings), lamb racks with mint sauce, and filet mignon with a creamy wild mushroom sauce. The seafood plate was underwhelming as everything was coated in cheese-breadcrumbs but lacked seasoning. The lamb was tasty, but the mint sauce tasted more like mint vinegar and oil. The filet mignon was good, but the mushroom sauce did not taste like mushrooms.
A charming historic home in a picturesque village setting. The host, Jasmine, was incredibly gracious. Chef Sophie and her team prepared a delicious Chateaubriand flambe, cooked to perfection by the very capable Etienne. It was the best meal we had during our 10-day holiday! Despite a severe storm on May 21st and a power outage, we were very well taken care of. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!
The Manor of Becancour is a charming and delightful restaurant. We visited this enchanting manor for a 6-course meal and were amazed by the divine flavors and outstanding service. It was the most calming and soothing dining experience I have ever had. A must-try!
