This area is a desert for vegan or alternative ways to live and eat, so we were thrilled to find a traditional pub with a separate vegan menu. the choices sound amazing, but unfortunately the tastes do not live entirely up to the intentional or the price. A gigantic flower cauliflower steak, which was cooked in the ground a thick slice of flower cauliflower and then with water discharged into the next sauce of a tablespoon poor romesco. the thing that really annoys us, however, is a place that is pretentious with a description of a "raisin and apfel ragout" and then serves a scatter of dried johannisbeer and some bits of raw cut granny smith. desserts were good, but simply too expensive for not fantastic foods

We recently had one of the best meals we have had in a long time at this restaurant! It was absolutely superb and we are already looking forward to going back again during our next visit to Yorkshire in August for my husband's birthday. It was wonderful to see both locals and visitors enjoying this pub. The refurbishment was done very well, the staff were extremely friendly, and we loved that the bar area was dog-friendly. Be sure to make a reservation as it can get quite busy, even on weeknights. We highly recommend this place!

Had a fantastic evening with friends at the restaurant's pop quiz night, where some of my friends also happen to work.

Really nice platters and the service was really good, really nice to see such a great place open again and we will be back for some more of that good food
