Costa Coffee - Bedford

Kempston Saxon centre costa near sainsburys! Really slow service and very dirty tables that no one seemed to be cleaning! Will not be returning awful service

I visited Costa yesterday to be served by a rather abrupt older lady. She was quite short with me and the other staff and left me feeling very uncomfortable, she left to go outside to vape! I won’t be visiting this Costa again!!

Never going here again. Every table had dirty cups,plates etc, under staffed, dirty surface at the till,empty jugs stacked up at the counter, it was just shear mayhem with only two staff. A multi million pound company like this needs a firm kick up the arse . Get your act together Costa , there is no excuse for letting a buisness run like this. You're an embarresment and are not worth one star.

I visited this Costa Kempston retail park, the one next to the shops) with family. We had several issues. I usually visit Costa in Bedford Town or St Johns retail park which are always great, no problems, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the tables clean etc. However, this is my second visit to this Costa and I now realise it probably won't improve. The staff member called Jo was very rude and the other staff member, although friendlier, did not seem able to use the till. It took us a long time to get served, not because it was busy, but because of the issues we had with ordering, using a voucher, having to ask for my extra bean as I used a reusable cup, and just slow service. The drinks and food products were nice as usual but the service made me wish I hadn't chosen that Costa. Will stick to the Costas I know and love.

The service was sooooo slow, two people in front of us and took maybe 7--8 minutes to get served. Two members of staff, one making drinks who half way through someones order just went and stood by the food grill waiting for the food to cook for 2 minutes, other who was on the till taking orders went and cleared 1 table and putting cups in the washer. Eventually got served and sat down, drinking my mocha and what is this in my mouth?? A big piece of paper napkin maybe??, told the girl clearing tables who did quickly replace the drink for me(only reason i gave 2 stars or else would of been 1 star). If they were quicker serving they could of cleared the 4-5 tables that had dirty cups in them sooner.
