Also a good location for dog walkers. Usually call in at the cafe which is pleasant but have often thought it was an under developed resource. Recent visits suggest whoever runs this is now in agreement as the cafe seems to be developing. On this occasion we stopped for lunch and had a very pleasant meal. It is, I feel, a bit pricey but the food was very tasty, well presented and served swiftly. Plenty of staff on duty and they were very pleasant and efficient. Would recommend.
Beautiful place, sadly not running at its full potential. I’ve dropped in four or five times with friends over the last two months. We’ve had coffee, cakes and sandwiches( toasties) cakes are dry, sandwiches are a soggy mess on overly dry toast. People are not the friendliest. So much more could be done with a little more effort.
A friend and I met for lunch at the Mill cafe and really enjoyed a sausage bap for our lunch. Reasonable value for money and a pleasant place ti catch up. Lots of plans in the pipeline which will enhance the whole site.
We visited the cafe based on local recommendations, but we personally wouldn't recommend it. The food choices were not very imaginative and definitely overpriced. There was a lack of atmosphere, it was freezing cold, and there were no menus on the tables. On the bright side, the staff was very efficient. Perhaps it would be nicer in the summer, but we have no plans to return.
My wife and I make it a point to visit this restaurant as often as we can. It is always a delightful experience with a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and fantastic service. Thank you, and we look forward to visiting again soon! - Laurie and Kate Wallis
