El Tapatio Meat Market - Bedford

I have gone two times to buy some marinated fajita and both times they have turned out great, soft and tasty

Man the prepared food section is just a home run, fajitas and barbacoa are excellent, a little crowded on weekends

Another typical Mexican store but with pretty tasty food.The good:I've tasted many things in their food counter and it is all pretty good. The stars for me are the lengua (tounge), buche (stomach), carnitas (can be different parts of pork).I also ordered some Menudo that was overall pretty good. In the picture you can see that the meat was cleaned and the broth shows that they skimmed some of the excess grease off, yay. It wasn't perfect but definitely better smelling and tasting than other Menudos in the area. However far from the best I've ever tasted.The store attendants also seem nicer now than before.The bad:This is a bad that plagues many of the smaller establishments, maintenance. Maybe it is a budgeting thing, maybe there just isn't enough profit or . The place looks a little run down, if they would budget for improvements I think this store could definitely become a good big franchise. Things like maintaining the parking lot, restrooms, counters etc.Overall though it is one of the best places in H.E.B.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my co-workers, who are Mexican. The food was good, but I had a frustrating experience when I was accused of stealing as I was leaving. My boss paid for my meal, but despite that, I was still in the middle of finishing when I left before him. I honestly thought they were going to call the police on me while I was outside smoking.

Be cautious when visiting this restaurant. While I was having lunch with my supervisor, I was wrongfully accused of stealing. After stepping outside for a smoke, I noticed the cashier had followed me out with a tall, lanky guy. They quickly backed off when they saw me—I'm 6'3", 240 pounds, African American, with a beard. The food is fantastic, but the service is terrible. I recommend avoiding this place.
