Prices have certainly increased over time, so why reduce the seafood and meat options? To be fair to T&T, my concerns could apply to many Chinese restaurants these days. Service: Takeout Meal type: Dinner.
I would rate this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars. A score of 4 feels too harsh, while a 5 seems a bit too generous. This is undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant on the west side of the river in Manchester. Its main competitors are located on the east side. If you’d prefer not to travel across the river, this is the place to go. The prices here are quite competitive; their lunch combo deals are a bit lower than those of the competitors, especially considering they include soup. However, the portion sizes are slightly smaller, with the egg rolls, rice, and seafood being less generous in comparison. The flavors are all good, though perhaps not quite as exceptional as those at the two east side restaurants—some seafood dishes come off a bit too sweet, and the soup could use more seasoning. Nevertheless, the other places have their issues as well, making this restaurant a worthwhile alternative. I definitely recommend giving it a try!
I had lunch at this restaurant and overall, it was a good experience. I tried the lunch special, but I found the portion of fried rice to be a bit limited. The food was tasty, and I'm giving it a rating of 4 out of 5. The service was also quite good, so I would rate that a 4 as well. The atmosphere was pleasant, earning another 4 in my book. I recommend trying the Egg Roll, Crab Rangoon, and Vegetables Fried Rice. The price per person was around $10–20.
We have been to a few sushi bars in the area, and this one is easily the best. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. We sat at the bar and ordered cocktails mai tai and blue Hawaiian. We expected sweeter cocktails, but instead they were PERFECTLY balanced! Really lovely. We ordered the Japanese fried chicken appetizer, and crab Rangoon very basic apps, and they blew us away. Fresh tasting and hot! We then ordered sushi to share snow roll, amazing roll, and spicy tekka (tuna) roll. We saw Vincent (we later learned he is a sushi chef of 30 years, from Taiwan, who loves to golf) make our rolls very diligently and carefully. The taste was astounding, the freshest we’ve had in the area. The rolls were packed full of flavor, and even soy sauce felt unnecessary! As we ate our sushi, Vincent floated over to us to ask how our meal was. He then told us about the fresh bluefin tuna and sea urchin that they’d got in to the restaurant that day he told us that next time, we should get the bluefin tuna sashimi. He seemed passionate about the benefits of fresh fish in one’s diet, and how coveted bluefin tuna is even in East Asian culture. You can tell his work means a lot to him. We saw the staff’s interactions with customers and could tell that building relationships is important to them. They wanted to get to know us in such a kind way and that they were proud of their product. It was so refreshing to feel the staff care about the quality of their food. We love Asian cuisine, specifically sushi, and this place takes the cake! Could not recommend this spot enough.
