The ambiente is good. service 4 stars. eat 4 stars. fried garnels and zucchini as appetizers, chicken-rose pizza and mushroom risotto as net and pain perdu tiramisu for desserts a chain of red wine and fresh orange juice. total cost around $85. good value for a restaurant in zaituna bay, I think.
Like most parents who are looking for a restaurant in an opposite place where children can play, we drove to zaitunay bay. the sun was outside and we were armed with a tricycle, but first it was time to lunch. pasta never fails with a small child it seems, so we have decided to go for italian, so al forno. it was a pleasant surprise. first line I would like to praise our waiter who would not have done better work because the service was excellent. we ordered a lot of orders to get a gist of everything. the fried garnels were very crispy, and although the zucchini was not cut into thin slices, the broth time was so crispy that it was not important. with my pregnancy, it seems that I am fixed to certain means of life at certain times. Today it is the risotto. So I ordered to share the shrimp risotto and chicken eclope, and they were both delicious. the Risotto sauce was slightly diluted, but had still taste, and the brot on the chicken escalope made a pleasant crispy sound among our teeth. al forno knew how to make broth, and the escalotte was not oily at all. for my sweet tooth rings I had the pain and the zenci. the extra haze of zimt, which was added to the pain, was pleasing. as far as zenci is concerned, I enjoyed trying something new, but the teig was a bit heavy for my taste. All in all, however, we have left a satisfactory experience to ensure our clear return.
If you are in Zaytouna or everywhere and want a good Italian food in a welcoming atmosphere, Al Forno would be an ideal place to go. Her signature food is her wood stove pizza with a very thin crispy crust, but her other dishes (pasta, dishes and appetizers) also felt very authentic. There was no single piece of pizza left on the plates, which all says! The prices were somewhat high, but the quality and taste of the food makes them acceptable. Our goal was to have a delicious Italian dinner, and we had it! M
