King Chicken Fillin' Station - Belden

Great soul food. There is a walkable window and you can also eat inside. There are not many places that sell actual soul food here in Tupelo. I just wanted to find another place and found this place for lunch. I ordered fried catfish, with lush puppies (excellent), mac n cheese and bread. Also ordered the banana pudding. The pudding was tasteful, but too sweet. I don't use so much sugar. Great place to visit. It has a lot on the menu.

Great chicken and sides. The chicken was made perfect and had a unique taste. It went perfectly with the royal sauce that her version of honey mustard and quite delicious in it. I'm rarely impressed with Mac and cheese, but they had a great tasting. Also the potato salad! Amazing to find such unique aromas and small turns in such a small place. I'll hold back when I get through here. I can't say enough good things...

We are new in the area and love to taste local restaurants. We tried King's on the proposal of a family member and we were not disappointed! We have the family size whole chicken box with Slav and Pommes. The chicken was delicious and the bread tasted differently than any fried chicken I had before. The claw was good and had the right amount of sweetness. The spiced pommes were decent and much for the family. To dessert, we tried the peach cooker... again, delicious. They also make their own sauces. We had honey mustard and hot sauce. Both were really good. To make a short story long, we will try again some of the other things on the menu. Be sure it's early. Google says they are open until 9 a.m., but they actually close at 6:30 p.m.

I'm a trucker and stopped here for the night, I went 2 miles round trip because I didn't want subway or McDonald 's. The ladies who served me were both pretty mothers and the food would make the king himself proud. After you eat here, a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich will never be the same again!

Worth the stop! I don’t hand out 5 star reviews very often so I assure you it is worth it. The menu is very creative. I had the Mitchwich and the Dorito Nachos pictured. Huge servings and amazing flavors. Located across from a small truck stop with plenty of truck parking. Order at the walk up window.
