Penny's Diner - Belen

On our way back to home we decided to stop in belen to my eight-year old daughter took this place because she wanted on the front row I saw the first three reviews and saw negative comments like wait until long I still have the risk of entering and I saw that there was a now hidden sign and made me think hmmm? it is a long wait to be as they need to be short on the staff. but let me tell them that it was the complete opposite rests were clean the restaurant like good food and cierst was very political on our order with no mistakes they was multitasking take orders on the phone cleansing ordering in the side of the restaurant while we waited for our foods that I observed that roger the cook was always fully up never standing around and very clean used gloves and was good to eat! this was an amazing experience for yourself and family! ps this butter tho delicious? good job kiersten and robert keep the good work they trust me, it is not unnoticed

Quaint, 50s style diner with excellent food, fantastic wait staff and very fair prices! Close to I25 and the town of Belen, NM. I'll be back! ~db~ ?

Had a very, very good chicken fried steak with a surprisingly fresh side salad and mashed potatoes smothered with very good white gravy. Meals were presented in a timely manner but then follow-up service slowed appreciably. However it was apparent that was due to the staff being extremely busy.

I love this place for breakfast great service the atmosphere is just like the old diners back in the day. I had 2 eggs, bacon (generous portions) hashbrowns.

Just moved into the area and came late in the first night. was never at this place, and I must tell them that eating was great! one of us had a burger and pommes. the burger was very fresh and juicy. the other customer had the chicken steak and he loved it too. a great sound!
