Holohans Pantry - Belfast

The food was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were recommended this restaurant by our previous location in Belfast, and the Yelp reviews were quite positive. While it was enjoyable, it didn’t quite exceed our expectations. We tried the seafood box and the duck breast, both of which were tasty. Overall, it was a good value for the price. I would suggest making reservations.

Simply loved this place. so much attention from the servers to the owners. excellent recommendations to eat and drink. as an American first time in earth, was looking for somewhere with authentic recipes and found it here. we had the boxty court, a seafood and a steak. both were amazing! Never before had it seafood in a crumb, but it tasted fantastic! I regret it, my last night was in belfast. can't wait to eat again!

Both my dining companion and I ordered the vegetarian mushroom 'boxty of the day,' which consisted of a boxty pancake filled with mushrooms in a creamy sauce, served alongside fresh salad and coleslaw for £10. We also enjoyed a side of market vegetables and hand-cut chips, along with an Irish cheese platter for dessert, complete with relish and crackers. To finish, we sipped on some excellent Pinot Grigio and Merlot. The food was fabulous and incredibly flavorful. The atmosphere was enhanced by a musician playing vocals and guitar, creating a cheerful and cozy mood. I'll admit that I may not return often solely due to the limited vegetarian options. However, Holohan’s Pantry certainly demonstrates that Irish cuisine can rival any other in terms of quality and taste. I highly recommend this place, but please, Holohan's, consider adding a few more choices for us vegetarians!

As an international student I took the time out of my weeks to eat my way through Belfast. Holohans was my absolute favorite little restaurant. My server, Calvin, was extremely knowledgeable about all of the food and wine, and made the whole experience fantastic. The wine selection is superb and the food was even better. The steak and Guinness boxty is a must-have, the bacon chop was delicious, all the appetizers were incredible and the Guinness pudding for dessert was to die for. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Went in for a Sunday lunch. Pleasant ambiance. Friendly but slow service, they needed more feet in the floor. The food was excellent. I had the Walter Ewing smoked salmon crabachain and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Would definitely eat there again.
