Urban Retreat - Belfast

I have visited this restaurant twice in the past few weeks and the service is terrible. The staff are incredibly rude, to the point where you feel like you must be on a hidden camera show because no one could actually be that ignorant and still be employed in a customer service role. Even though I wore a mask as required (and as requested in most other establishments), I was shouted at to take it off because the staff member couldn't hear me. Their behavior was so shockingly disrespectful that I simply walked out, as I do not leave my stressful job during lunchtime to be mistreated by someone in a sandwich shop. I highly recommend Snax, located just up the street, as they provide superior customer service and their food is excellent. They also respectfully request that customers wear masks, so I will be taking my business there in the future. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant unless you enjoy being berated by someone who acts like a prison warden when ordering a sandwich.

I often find myself stopping by this restaurant on the days when I forget or can't be bothered to bring lunch to work. My main reason for coming here is the sandwich selection, as the bread is always fresh. They also offer delicious toasted wraps and their special hot sandwich is usually amazing. While I'm not a fan of the coffee, that's just personal preference. The reason for my 3-star rating is mostly due to the staff. I often feel intimidated when I walk in and sometimes feel like I'm inconveniencing them by ordering. I believe that politeness and a smile are essential for customer service, but apparently not for this place. Despite this, I would still recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to grab a quick take-away sandwich.

My friends and I decided to visit Urban Retreat on a rainy and dreary Wednesday afternoon. We opted for the lunchtime special which came with coffee. The food was served quickly and was hot. The service was polite and welcoming. The prices were fair and the meal was delicious. Urban Retreat is a hidden gem for lunch in Belfast.

Often go here at lunch time for a sandwich. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients lovely food. Can’t fault them.

I regularly visit the coffee shop morning and afternoon but not anymore the service when sitting down for lunch is well not good enough the girl who regularly does the floor.....tall girl.....isn't very welcoming or plesant never smiles and never brings cutlery when your food arrives which is basic stuff let's be honest.ill take my custome else were in future
