Feedback gevenI visited this restaurant a year ago and was disappointed to find that it had declined in quality, with a limited menu and staff who seemed unsure of their roles. However, I decided to give it another chance recently and I am so glad that I did! The restaurant has now returned to its pre-COVID standards with an outstanding menu, delicious food, and top-notch service. Thank you for the significant improvement in quality.
This restaurant used to be my favorite spot for dining, but I haven't visited in a while. Unfortunately, it has really declined in quality. Everything looks worn and in need of refurbishment. The staff were not very welcoming and the service was slow. The sushi wasn't rolled properly and kept falling apart. The container for the ginger and wasabi looked dirty and stained, making me hesitant to eat from it. The seats were all ripped and the floor was dirty. It's disappointing to say that I won't be returning.
Disappointing, and not in a good way. We had high expectations, but the greeting was not welcoming at all. We were barked directions at on entry, making us feel like we were in a soup kitchen rather than a luxurious dining experience. The restaurant felt shabby and worn out, with missing light bulbs and unattractive dishes covered by dirty plastic lids on a dimly lit conveyer belt. The waiter was unhelpful and grimaced when asked for anything. The food was mediocre at best, with no assistance with the menus and little hospitality from the staff. The fried dumplings tasted like they had been fried in old oil, and the duck was not much better. There was little interest in customer feedback. Despite traveling for 2 hours specifically to eat there, our experience was not positive. When our mobile phone died, both the waiter and manager were condescending about their Q Code order system, making us feel like we were inconveniencing them by ordering manually. We were treated poorly as customers and have no intention of returning, even if paid to do so. The meal was abysmal.
I come here every time I get the chance with my nanny. I love the food a lot especially the Katsu curry it's the best.
Have visited YoSushi several times in the past pre Covid. I understand that hospitality has taken a real beating since then. We both love Asian style food but a self styled Japanese restaurant with no ramen, no pan fried dumplings considering there are many other venues in Belfast , one even in the same complex has said items on a daily basis. I also think that QR menu ordering while it may be “hip” is somewhat akin to “ self checkout “. Surely person to server is much more amiable and lends to a pleasant and more meaningful experience. Food that was on the menu which we had was fine but absence of two of our favourites cooled the appetite. Sorry but disappointed.
