Smitty's Waterfront Dining

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I've never had a negative dining experience here. The service is outstanding, and I really appreciate the owner and the entire staff—they're always friendly and eager to help. We usually dine on the deck, and the views are fantastic. I highly recommend giving this place a visit!

As a few of us have some background in the food service industry, we understand the challenges of being short-staffed. However, this establishment did not seem to be operating in a manner that would encourage repeat customers. After encountering a few rude comments, it became apparent that we were not welcome. I want to emphasize that we are generous tippers and understand when things get hectic due to understaffing, but that was clearly not the case here. When a restaurant can't handle a handful of tables, it may be time for the staff to reconsider their careers. The essence of good waitressing lies in providing excellent service with a positive attitude—treating customers like royalty. Unfortunately, our server seemed to have missed the basics of waitressing...and to make matters worse, she turned out to be the owner. It’s baffling! She was inefficient and rude, and it’s not worth spending any more time or energy on someone who clearly doesn’t care about her business. I suggest steering clear of this place. There are two other great restaurants down the road that truly appreciate their customers and make them feel welcome. This establishment certainly did not roll out the welcome mat, nor did the owner offer any apologies for her poor attempt at serving. I would rate this place even lower if I could, but I had to give it one star just to submit this review. People deserve to know about my experience!

From the moment the bikers arrived at the marina, they faced nothing but judgment. I have never experienced such rudeness in my life. While I understand that short staffing can be challenging, the person who served us was the owner, and her behavior was downright disrespectful and rude toward our group. She exhibited an astonishing lack of courtesy. We only chose this place because Speers Street Grill was closed, where I usually go to see my friend Denise—the food there is fantastic! However, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. There’s a significant difference between being short-staffed and having an owner who treats customers poorly. To top it off, the food had no flavor and was below average. Last time I checked, a medium steak should be pink, not gray.

Great Food! Loved the Red Pepper Crostini and Steamed Shrimp.Our meals were awesome and the Staff was fantastic. Place was top notch Clean!

Amazing food and service. Relax with great people and food besides the river. It worse every penny.
