They provided free bread for the table, which I didn’t eat, but my friends found it acceptable since it was freshly baked. The Gaucho Cosmo was a particular disappointment, taking nearly two hours to arrive. On the other hand, the sangria and old-fashioned cocktails were among the group favorites. I ordered the filet mignon, but it wasn't cooked to the temperature I requested. My friends had sirloin steaks that were done properly. After such a long wait for dinner, I didn't want to wait another 40 minutes for dessert. Desserts were just okay. The lime cake came with berries that were not in season— more acidic than sweet. I opted for the sorbet, which was forgettable. At the end of our meal, we were served a complimentary plate with goat cheese, fig jam, grapes, crackers, apples, and pears. While the food was mediocre, I was fortunate to enjoy great company that made it more tolerable. The service itself was passable; our waiter had a sarcastic demeanor. The restroom was clean and located on the second floor, which I accessed by stairs since I didn’t see an elevator. As for parking, there's a garage conveniently labeled with arrows leading to El Gaucho, along with valet service available. I parked in the garage and received validation; it's adjacent to the valet service and not directly on the street.
Absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is gorgeous and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. The food was delicious. I celebrated my birthday there with a friend, and we had a wonderful time. We loved every aspect of our experience. We will definitely be returning!
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we returned later that same week and were taken care of by Doug this time. Both Doug and Larry teamed up to ensure we had another exceptional dining experience (I ordered the halibut again, along with mac and cheese). After leaving, we knew this would be our go-to place for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and everything in between! Three months later, we returned and received the same warm service, and the seafood was incredibly fresh. I would definitely recommend dining here for any special occasion!
Such a nice touch of the staff in El Gaucho. The table was set with rose petals half yellow for one birthday and the other half with red rose petals for the anniversary. The food was excellent as always. We order the tuna fish tar for the appetizer, crab soup, Cesar Salat, Filet Mignon, Hummer, Mac cheese and French pommes.
An absolute family favorite. I had my birthday here ? I love El Gaucho and have for years there?s just something so special about it, probably has to do with the live piano. Absolutely adore coming for drinks here with friends too.
