The food is good, though slightly expensive. The service is good and the dishes are flavorful. They are famous for their big Mama margaritas and giant burritos. Both of which are a great way to start a Friday or Saturday night.
Finally! I was looking to find a place with good queen, good Tex sex style eating good salsa. we have tried jalapenos in the inner city of jalapenos on meridian, both were subpar experiences total; disappointing service eating. but in which a culinary experience we had at the Barkley location, it was great! salsa (served chilled was on point! queso with ground bark meat was very fat, but still tasted! my man got the pollo asado. I have the nachos that they definitely met my Tex-Mex friend. my only concern that I 'remarked is consistent at their locations that they deserve an unexplained 3% kitchen service that they add to their total.
Pretty good. It is a bit dark inside of the restaurant and prices sure have gone up, but that's understandable these days. We really enjoy Bellingham's biggest burrito, my husband always orders Chicken but I'd prefer ground beef
Rice and beans were very good but wasn't a fan of my cheese enchilada's or the sauce they used. I like the salsa bar they have and not bad pricing for lunch specials. I'll go back for the rice and beans when I'm back in town.
I loved it. Exactly what I wanted. Perhaps I'm not a very sophisticated eater of Mexican food, but the tamale was delicious, not dry as it often is. The rice and beans were great, my favorite part, covered in cheese. I've been craving it ever since I was there.
